Jack Mitchell, FACHE
Chief Executive Officer
Jack has served in an array of senior management positions spanning 25 years, including CEO positions at acute care medical centers, chief operating officer positions at academic medical centers and administrative positions with physician group practices. Jack completed a master's degree in education from the University of South Florida as well as a master's degree in hospital administration from Brigham Young University's Marriot School of Management. Additionally, Jack achieved fellowship status in the American College of Healthcare Executives in 1997 and is active in mentoring students in hospital administration.
Marty Hurlbut, M.D.
Medical Director
Dr. Hurlbut has been the medical director at HealthSouth Fayetteville for more than 15 years. Dr. Hurlbut obtained his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency through the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Marty Hurlbut, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.
Brian Barr
Director of Marketing Operations
Brian has been with HealthSouth Fayetteville since 2006 where he has served in various marketing roles. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in communications from Texas A&M.
Missy Cole
Director of Human Resources
Missy joined the leadership team of HealthSouth Fayetteville in April 2012. She has more than 20 years of human resources management experience. Her background is diversified with an emphasis in employee relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, training and development and risk management. Missy holds her PHR Certification, Advanced Generalist Certification and her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Arkansas Tech University. Missy serves as a member of SHRM and NOARK. She is an active volunteer in the Northwest Arkansas community where she serves on the American Heart Association “Go Red for Women” committee and the board of Cheer Athletes of Northwest Arkansas.
Kris C. Hanby, M.D.
Program Director, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
Dr. Hanby received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for medical sciences. He completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma and completed a fellowship at the University of Utah in knee and hip reconstruction. He joined the clinic in 2005 and practices in Fayetteville and Eureka Springs. His special interests include knee and hip surgery and general orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Hanby was born in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Springdale, Arkansas.

Miriam Irvin
Chief Nursing Officer
Miriam has been with HealthSouth for more than 15 years where she has served as nurse manager, clinical nurse coordinator and infection control and employee health nurse. Prior to HealthSouth, she worked in cardiology in Georgia and Texas. Miriam obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Armstrong State College in Savannah, Georgia. She received her Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN®) designation in 2004.
Borian Matinchev, M.D.
Program Director, Stroke Rehabilitation
Dr. Matinchev received his undergraduate degree from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois and his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara. His residency was completed at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Michelle Scutary
Director of Pharmacy
Michelle joined HealthSouth Fayetteville in 2011. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Medical University of South Carolina, her Masters of Business Administration from The Citadel and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Arkansas. Michelle is a member of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists.
Billye White
Director of Quality and Risk
Billye joined HealthSouth Fayetteville in 2012. She recently moved to Fayetteville after serving seven years at a sister facility. Prior to this, she spent 16 years as a healthcare consultant where she focused on accreditation and licensure consulting for healthcare organizations. Billye attended Arkansas State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Denice Wilson
Director of Therapy Operations
Denice has been with HealthSouth Fayetteville since its opening in 1991, serving as director of therapy operations for more than 15 years. Her experience as a speech pathologist includes rehabilitation, acute care, home health and outpatient. She received a master’s degree in speech/language pathology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Denice is a native of Northwest Arkansas.
